Chain ORIG OZ LP Two of a kind NM ’73 Mushroom L35017 Blues rock Phil Manning
Rare Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1973 on Mushroom Records. Cat: L35017. Comes in gatefold sleeve.Formed in 1968 in Melbourne Chain has been the most influential blues/rock band in Australia. Phil Manning (guitar and vocals), bassist Barry Sullivan and Drummer Barry Harvey were a loud brash trio. With the joining of Matt Taylor on vocals and harmonica in 1970 the band took on a tougher, bluesier edge. Today Dirk Dubois is on bass. Best known for the song "Black'n Blue" they had several chart entries and reached double gold status for "Toward the Blues" which is still on general release and probably the longest permanently available rock/blues album in Australia. Side two recorded live at Garrison Disco June 7th, 1973.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has a few light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Near Mint condition. Gatefold sleeve has light ringwear and very minor scuffing on corners and is in VG++ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
