Description
Chain of Strength "True Til Death" 7" on green vinyl. Record itself is in excellent condition w/no skips. Sleeve is in great shape also - there are various small creases but no rips or tears. The "white" looking marks are reflections - NOT fades - and the sleeve is not sun faded in any way.
Musically, this is one of the most ferocious straight-edge hardcore 7" ever, ever released. Stylistically, this band were the poster boys of youth crew straight edge turned legit overnight by being released on Revelation, which at the time was the premier hardcore record label. There are all kinds of stories about these guys, many of which were mere hearsay, all of which contributed to their mystique and legend. The fact that they didn't tour extensively or play a lot of shows added to that as well. Either way, whatever sh*t people talked on these guys was immediately washed away when the needle hit the record because you will be hard pressed to find more sincere sounding, angrier straight edge hardcore than this. In my opinion, this is the ultimate straight edge 7" of all time. In addition, they had the "secret ingredient" which sealed the deal - Chris Bratton, who is one of the best hardcore drummers to ever pick up a pair of sticks (although at their reunion gigs he employs the "cheat beat" which is admittedly lame, his performance on this record is killer).
This is a "must have" for any serious record collector interested in the history of American hardcore music.
