This is only the SECOND copy ( as per 78 QUARTERLY magazine) to turn up of CHALLENGE 805 by PRESTON JACKSON'S UPTOWN BAND ( here as GOLDEN MELODY BOYS)- - hot as hell gut bucket stuff! YEARNING FOR MANDALAY ( do not be decieved by the title!)....the flip is a regualr dance band (Challenge Dance Or - WHAT A WONDERFUL WEDDING THAT WILL BE)......the JACKSON side is a loud playing VG with some distortion on some of the earlier trombone notes, ..those being VG-. The clarinet solo plays great, the trumpet solo good with some very slight blasted notes, piano solo is fine..the lead out plays fine...highly enjoyable!
