Description

The Channels - on the label's very first release! 'The Closer You Are' b/w 'Now You Know (I Love You So)' - Whirlin Disc 100 original press in really nice condition. True NYC doo-wop two-sider from 1956. Record is respectively a VG+ (Closer U R) & Near Mint (Now U Know), & both sides play really well, strong & clean. Closer U R side shows a few small discolored spots in the wax that DO NOT affect play at all but result in a lower grade. Labels are clean with almost no wear, no writing, & no previous stickers. 'Brown wax' (must be held to a strong light) characterizes this true first pressing as authentic. W-500 & W-501 etched into dead wax areas. Record will be shipped within two days after payment is received. Generic paper sleeve with plastic overlay accompanies this true collector's item. Strong die-cut cardboard 45 mailer with padding will nicely protect your vinyl!
