Description

Here it is! From my personal collection! The true 1st pressing. Not a reproduction or bootleg. 100% authentic 1970 first pressing. It has the poster that’s impossible to find. The poster is genuine offset printed on glossy thin poster stock and is folded only in the center. The poster is super rare and believed to have only in the first 300 or so copies that were self distributed by the producer in the Los Angeles area when it first was released. The remaining 700 of the 1000 pressed were distributed by ESP Disc records in New York. ESP most likely didn’t print any more of the posters. This copy came from a chunk of the KPFK radio station library collection I purchased many years ago here in Los Angeles. So this was KPFK radio’s station copy.

CONDITION NOTES: PLEASE READ THROUGHLY! I AM A FELLOW COLLECTOR AND EXPERIENCED DEALER I AM BEING HONEST IN MY DESCRIPTIONS.

LP: Grade is VG due to one real scratch on the track “I’ll Never Say Never To Always” (SEE PHOTO OF ACTUAL SCRATCH) It’s feelable. This scratch produces an audible pop for several rotations but does not skip. The pop is audible but doesn’t kill the song. Only the V shaped part produces a pop on several rotations not the whole song. There are a couple very light cosmetic surface marks that do not affect play and are not heard. VINYL IS OVERALL SHINY AND WOULD BE VG+ IF THE ONE SCRATCH WAS NOT THERE. NO WARP NICE AND FLAT.

PLAY GRADE: Other than the part with the scratch this LP plays awesome, clean and clear no surface noise and the fidelity is nice all around. This must have been one of the first off the press because it sounds clean and clear. I VPI CLEANED THIS AND WILL DO SO AGAIN BEFORE SHIPPING.

COVER CONDITION: VG. Spines top and bottom have been expertly restored/ reinforced with archival glue with brown paper on the inside that is barely noticeable. They were partially split originally. There is remnants of clear tape that was there before. Side spine was never spit but has wear. There’s visible wear on the front and back and brown stains. There are rumors that the brown stains are a female Manson family members blood but, I think that’s maybe a rumor and the cover paper just stains like that over the decades. I don’t know. (SEE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION AS I HAVE TRUTHFULLY DESCRIBED AND PHOTOGRAPHED ANY CONDITION ISSUES.)

POSTER CONDITION: VG+ the poster is in great condition and is in no way a cheesy reproduction like other sellers have included in their copies for sale. It’s definitely offset printed and original. It has one brown stain on the back. SEE PHOTOS.

SHIPS EXTREMELY WELL PACKED. VPI CLEANED COVER IN JAPANESE RESEALABLE BAG, LP HOUSED IN ARCHIVAL POLY INNER SLEEVE. I SHIP WITH EXTRA THICK CARDBOARD FLATS. THIS ALBUM WILL BE BOXED IN A BIGGER BOX AND INSIDE A COCOON OF THICK CARDBOARD LAYERS.

ONE MORE THING…,

I DO NOT ISSUE PARTIAL REFUNDS EVER DUE TO PEOPLE BUYING RARE RECORDS LIKE THIS IN NOT PERFECT CONDITION AND THEN TRYING TO NEGOTIATE A DISCOUNT ONCE THEY GET THE RECORD.

Not going to happen with me. I only will take a return and give you a full refund if you return the same exact copy (It’s marked) in the same condition with all elements like the poster returned packed in my original packaging. If I get a different copy back, or if parts have been switched out or posters missing or if record is returned damaged I get on the phone with EBay and I know what to say to get them to take my side and fight it.

AS IS CONDITION AND HONESTLY DESCRIBED.
