Charles Mingus Jazz portraits w.B.Ervin-J.Handy United Artists mono red DG Charles Mingus ' Jazz portraits ' UNITED ARTISTS UAL 4036 (USA) mono red label with deep groove - rec. in January 1959 and issued in 1959 - original first issue Charles Mingus : bass - Dannie Richmond : drums - Richard Wyands : piano -John Handy : alto sax - Booker Ervin : tenor sax Side 1 : Nostalgia in Times Square - I can't get started (Duke-Gershwin) Side 2 : No private income blues - Alice's wonderland All compositions by Charlie Mingus except as indicated Visual grading : record is EX- to EX full lustre has very light wear and few wispy unfeelable lines barely visible on both side. Clean labels with light spindle wear Playing grading : record is EX plays very well with loud and clear sound. Has a minimal background noise and few occasional light ticks in quieter parts (i.e. bass solos) Cover grading : cover is VG+ has light wear to corners and to spine which has all titles fully readable. Front cover is clean.
