Description

Charles Mingus Oh Yeah Atlantic 1377 MONO red/orange label first pressing with Mingus primarily on piano here (also singing) and Doug Watkins taking over the bass chair. Booker Ervin, Roland Kirk and Jimmy Knepper and Dannie Richmond the band from this 1962 date, one of the last in the short life of Doug Watkins, who was killed in a tragic car crash less than a month after this LP was made in 1962. LP is VG+, has one small eraser like surface mark on Side 1 and super clean otherwise guaranteed. See the tune names, balance of personnel and al details in the photos above.
