Description
Charles Mingus (with Mal Waldron, Teo Macero, John La Porta, Rudy Nichols) THE MOODS OF MINGUS Savoy 15050, recorded 1954. Silver on bright-red label. Jacket is very cleanly taped on three sides. E+ condition. Has a rubber stamp from original Chicago retailer. Disc has a constant hiss from the original pressing. Actual surface is remarkably strong for a 10”: E because of some pops in the pressing; very little is traceable to wear or play or damage. One long line on B-1 is audible through about 85 revolutions, but at very low level.
Second offering from the vast, very special collection of an international avant-garde LP maven, to be offered across the coming year. Most of these items have had one owner and one play, have not left the original house of the collector since purchase.
