Description
Charles Mingus “Jazz Portraits” a rare 1959 first deep groove Stereo pressing RCA Victor (# UAS 5036 stereo) in a framed laminated cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Excellent (EX). Fully play tested, it plays very well with almost no background noise even on softer parts such as bass solos. Visually, the surfaces are extremely clean - looks new. The outer case is Very Good Plus (VG+). The framed laminated front cover is smooth, glossy & vibrant with hardly any wear. The back cover is clean other than a slight ring-wear abrasion and light stain at the top and a tiny stain in the bottom right-hand corner. The top seam has 2 tight splits - a 2” one at the opening and a 3.5” at the spine. The spine and bottom seam are both EX - very clean with no splits. The cover is very sturdy. (all reflected in the photos) All sales final.
NOTE: This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment. Both the album cover and the inner sleeve & vinyl will be contained within a plastic protective sleeve inside of the shipping box with padding on top & bottom
