Description
Charley Patton---by John Fahey--Studio Vista Limited 1970 edition. THIS IS NOT THE REPRO EDITION INCLUDED IN THE CHARLEY PATTON REVENANT BOXSET
This book is John Fahey's analysis of the music of the legendary Charley Patton. There are also some photos of Paramount ads and musical notation of tunes. This book belonged to the late collector/discographer and writer for 78 Quarterly and Joslin's Jazz Journal, Tom Tsotsi and contains his corrections and additions in pencil to the tune transcriptions on app. 4 pages.
This is not the repro Revenant edition and lacks the Manchester library notation opposite the "Contents" page. The book is VG+ with light overall wear. Spine is tight and undamaged. No dog eared pages. Names stamps on title page. As mentioned above, there are hand written notes in pencil on app. 4 pages.
I grade visually using the Goldmine grading code which is M, M-, VG++ (or EX), VG+, VG, G, F, P. The highest grade I use is M-. I spot play any potential problem areas and try to grade conservatively. You will be satisfied and no hassles.
