Description
This is Verve Records MG V-8100-3, The Charlie Parker Story, an original black, trumpet label, deep groove mono issue of this marvelous 3 LP box set . The records are in VG++condition, showing only a few light signs of wear keeping it from being near mint, which do not effect the playing. The records play quietly throughout. The labels are excellent as well and show no spindle marks, but there is a small tear on the label of volume 2 side A. The box itself with it's iconic David Stone Martin cover has some clear tape on the back spine but is otherwise excellent and intact. The wonderful 38 page booklet (picture 2) has a small crease, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The records have been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this beautiful original issue. This is part of a large jazz collection I will be posting over the next few months.
