Bobby Peoples. Put him on the piano stool and request almost any Christian song and you'll think he either wrote it, or taught the man who did. Put him in a group of teenagers, and you'll sue him for alienation of affection. Put him before a Sunday School Class, and the regular teacher will try to get him to take the class. Take him into your home, and you'll apply for adoption papers. Love him, and you'll hear about Jesus from a man who not only knows "about" Jesus, but is also "personally acquainted" with him. He is equally at home in almost any given situation; whether it be fellowshipping with a group of adults, laughing with the teenagers, talking shop with a fellow preacher, visiting the shut-in with a pastor, preaching a revival, or helping in a street meeting........ Oh! I almost forgot—Bobby is Blind!...and he has at least one "pet peeve", Pity. It is unwanted and unsolicited. Take away your sight and he is just as normal as you, and he can do anything that you can do, and do most of it better. To Bobby, his blindness is the will and plan of God for his life, and he is happy to serve his Master blind, if only thus he may serve Him better. He desires your prayers constantly; your pity.....Never! Now what you have just read about Bro. Bobby Peoples was not my writing at all. In fact, I had nothing what-so-ever to do with it. I even felt as if I had been robbed when I read it myself. For I had wanted to write something from my heart about my good friend Bobby Peoples. But Rev. Donald E. Dunn of Chattanooga, Tennessee had already said just what I wanted to say. So I'll just add a big Amen to what has already been written-------------But I must say it was a joy working with Bobby again and his lovely wife, Tresa, and daughter, Ranee, (my how she has grown). Also the Steele Sisters of Marrow, Ohio along with the Carmichael Brothers all doing a superb job making it a*great album. May God's richest blessings be with Bro. Bobby in his work for the Lord, and I hope his many friends will find this to be one of his best recordings. Homer L. Milam Bobby Peoples has inspired and challenged the hearts and lives of all the young people that have heard him. He is the kind of man that wants no praise for the things he does for the Lord, but wants only to honor and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. He understands the problems of the youth today, and that is one of the reasons we love him.
