Description
This is a very nice 180g stereo copy of Kyung-Wha Chung (violin) playing Chausson’s Poème for Violin and Orchestra, Saint-Saëns Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso and Havanaise, and Ravel’s Tzigane with Charles Dutoit and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as issued by King Super Analogue Records (catalogue number KIJC 9110). The record and jacket were made in Japan in 1992. The recording was originally made by London Records in 1977. The record is from my personal collection and was initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner and demagnetized. T
he record is in near mint condition with no scuffs or scratches and plays with only a few light ticks over both sides. The record was recently play graded using a Lyra Kleos on a VPI Classic IV turntable.
The jacket and OBI are in excellent condition with no seam splits, but there is some slight compression in the corners. There is a single page “The Super Analogue Disc” description with text in English and Japanese as well as a sheet with liner notes in Japanese only. There is a heavy plastic fold-over sleeve with a gold sticker which is standard with this label.
