Description

This is part of a large auction featuring blues, R&B and doo-wop, all from Chicago-based labels. There is a lot of great stuff here from many Chicago artists including Little Walter, Muddy Waters and other forefathers of the genre with few bonus listings as well.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1957


Notes: Maroon label first pressing. The first of several singles released on Checker by Walter with The Jukes. A-side has some great harmonica blues with a dash of R&B. The b-side is an instrumental with a little darker feel, Willie Dixon is on the bass for that one.


Vinyl Condition: VG++, Vinyl itself is gorgeous and super-clean with no real wear. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are very nice, with no tears or stickers. This is a top notch copy overall and could possibly be considered NM. 


All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in a couple of weeks for another new genre auction: dance records from the 70's to the early 2000's.
