Description
This is part of a large auction featuring blues, R&B and doo-wop, all from Chicago-based labels. There is a lot of great stuff here from many Chicago artists including Little Walter, Muddy Waters and other forefathers of the genre with few bonus listings as well.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Bo Diddley - Crackin' Up / The Great Grandfather
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1959
Notes: White label promo first pressing. Early record by Diddley, who wrote both of these tracks as well. His last record with the guitar neck design label. Two more great R&B/rockers here. The consistency of his early stuff is amazing, it's all good with lot of different sounds.
Vinyl Condition: VG++, Vinyl itself is in nice shape and super-clean with no real wear at all. It plays fantastically and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, no background noise at all. Labels are very nice, with no tears or stickers, but just touch of light scuffing. This is a top notch copy overall and very close to NM.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in a couple of weeks for another new genre auction: dance records from the 70's to the early 2000's.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
