Description
For sale is a vinyl record by Cher titled "Take Me Home", originally released in 1979 by Casablanca Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "Gol" and "AZ", followed by the matrix numbers GD-1/GD-1, indicating that this album was mastered at Allen Zentz Mastering of San Clemente by Allen Zentz, before the first stampers were used to make this record at Goldisc Recording Products' pressing plant located in Holbrook, New York. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of a some very minor corner blunts, edge rubs, ring wear and stress cracks along the spine. The spine has a little color loss at the corners from these blunts and along the edges from rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent with shiny and bright surfaces, but with faint sleeve marks, one fine hairline surface scratch and one scuff, but without any spindle marks on the labels, none of which affect playback. I'm play grading this as Very Good Plus because of ticking during "Let This Be A Lesson To You" and the beginning of "It's Too Late To Love Me Now", along with occasional low level background noise, more noticeable between tracks, but not interfering or over-powering the vocals or music. This album played all the way through without any skips. This still one of the best copies of this record that I've ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find another one like this one, especially a Goldisc pressing. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Funk and Dance records as well as albums of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look.
