Description
"West Coast Ripoff," by The Cherry Smash, released on Candy Floss in the U.S. in 1996. Fantastic obscurity from the Californian indie underground, with three tracks of sweet, fried noise pop. I have no proof of this, but personally I'm convinced that members of Further or The Summer Hits were involved somehow - the music sounds EXACTLY like those bands, down to the titles ("Californya Bum Trip," "Airport Girl," "Nowhere Generation"), the sleeve design, the distorted Beach Boys sample. A great record in any case. Both vinyl and cover in excellent condition.
