Chet Baket Sextet & Quartet Basso-Cerri-Sellani Music very rare 1959 Italian only issue

Chet Baker  ' Sextet & Quartet '  MUSIC LPM 2094 ( IT ) rec. in Milano at Gurtler Studio on Sept. 25, 26 and Oct.6, 1959 - first original Italian only mono issue in 1960. On the trail off (dead wax) is printed '12-4-1960' 

This is a very rare pressing with the mistake of writing on side B label ' Sextet & Quintet ' instead of ' Sextet & quartet ' (see pic)

The sextet is Chet Baker . trumpet - Glauco Masetti : alto sax - Gianni Basso : tenor sax - Renato Sellani : piano - Franco Cerri . bass - Gene Victory : drums  

The quartet are the same without Masetti and Basso

Side A : Look for the silver lining (De Sylva-Kern) - Lady Bird (Dameron-Parker) - My old flame (Johnson-Coslow) - Line for lions (Mulligan)

Side B : Tune up (Davis) - Cheryl blues (Parker) - Indian summer (Herbert) - Pent up house (Rollins)

Visual grading : record is EX+ has no scuffs, no scratches only few very light hairlines visible only at bright light and a light trace left by the original plastic inner sleeve on the last 2 tracks of side B. Labels are clean without spindle marks.

Playing grading : record plays EX++ part almost close to Near Mint only a minimal background noise in the quiter parts, however well below music's level. Sound is great, loud and sharp  

Cover grading : cover is EX+ / EX++ has only a very light yellowing on back because of age. The edges and corner are fine and spine is perfectly readable.

This is a wonderful Chet Baker' s record, probably the best made in Europe by Chet.
