Comments: GC made a lot of great recordings for this Chicago label, resulting in 17 singles spanning ‘63 through ‘66. I have not been able to determine which is the A or B-side on this one, but one of the price guides indicates as per above.  The matrix numbers are 63-120 for the A-side and 65-277 for the B-side. This makes me believe that they were recorded in ’63 and ’65 resp. which also makes sense based on the sound of the two tracks, the A(?)-side sounding older, having the feel of an early up-tempo Impressions recording (please note Johnny Pate arranged). The B(?)-side on the other hand has an early Northern sound and is the one that I personally consider the superior of the two.

“Baby That’s Love” had been released in 1963 on VJ 536. I don’t know if it is the same version.

?If you want to check either track, you can find clips of both on YOU TUBE.?
