Description
Giant shiny silver foil heavy duty box housing LPs "Chicago Transit Authority" through Chicago X. Columbia promotional item. Incredibly rare, especially in this condition. Includes the paper "obi" strip that wraps all the way around the box. Plus front "lid" to cover the LP spines. LP sleeves all have "Promotional Only Not For Sale" stamp in upper left back cover (except V). There are 34 LP surfaces in this set. Too numerous to mention, considering any given Chicago LP can be found in mint condition for next to nothing. These are all VG to Mint. But, this is more about the big box they come in. Most of these albums have never been played. Extras from the original releases include: Chicago II: poster, Chicago III: poster, Chicago IV: 3 posters, booklet (yellowing on the white box), Chicago V: timing strip and 2 posters, Chicago VI (slight inner sleeve split), Chicago VIII: poster, decal (inner sleeve seems to have transferred a white cloudy marking on both LP surfaces over time), Chicago IX: timing strip, Chicago X: lyric insert (Demonstration..." stamp on LP label (no notes on Chicago I or VII) Please, do NOT buy this if you expect all the LPs to be in mint condition. Buy it for the rare box and obi. FYI the box that houses the Carnegie Hall album fits into the big box very tightly. It should be stored separately unless you never plan to take it out.
