"Chicago Theater Of The Air" radio program of March 12, 1950 titled "Pagliacci" starring Richard Tucker, Nancy Carr, Earl Wilke, John Tyers, Henry Weber & The Orchestra. These discs begin during the introduction of the program and some material not recorded in each disc switch. The recording ends abruptly during the closing announcements. Total time is 47 minutes
"Juvenile Jury" radio program from March 12, 1950. This is a very funny show where a panel of children from ages 4-9 years old try to solve problems sent in by listeners. Many funny responses from the kids. Program is sponsored by Gaines Dog Food. The first 1-2 seconds of the opening wasn't recorded and there may be a few seconds that wasn't recorded during the disc switch. Otherwise complete. 30 minutes
"International Airport" radio program from March 8, 1950. These discs contain part one of the program only, the first 15 minutes. This is an episode from a radio series that I never heard of nor could find any reference to in any online radio log or database. This is a program set against the background of "The Gateway To The World's Greatest City", presumably New York City Airport. This episode is about a confidential investigator who goes to work for The Acme Detective Agency, and becomes involved in a murder. An interesting program. 15 minutes
All programs were broadcast over The Mutual Broadcasting System
Discs are in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- Sound. There is some wear to one of the sleeves that is visible in the scans
Due to their size, most standard turntables will not play 16" radio transcription discs. For $10 I can make CD copies of all three discs for the buyer only
