IMPULSE! STEREO VINYL ORIGINAL PRESSING!
Seldom seen in UK auctions is this beautiful ORIGINAL STEREO PRESSING of Chico Hamilton's classic, The Dealer (Impulse! A-9130). This is the original stereo mix, with the full version of A Trip (be aware that the recent vinyl repress apparently fades out The Trip at least 3mins earlier than on the original vinyl, causing much frustration to interested buyers!). I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Vinyl is strictly graded in Very Good++ condition - importantly on an album which has significant quiet/loud variation levels, there is only an occasional tick and otherwise no discernible background noise to distract from a mix of fantastic clarity by Rudy Van Gelder. There are 2-3 surface bumps on side 2 stemming from the original manufacture (captured in the photos) which cause most of the ticks bringing down the overall grade from Excellent, but the rest of the audio performance is solidly Excellent.
The original trademark Impulse! gatefold cover is strictly graded in Very Good+ condition, due to mild ringwear on the back and slight discolouration in the inner gatefold (shown in the photos). However, it is structurally very sound, with the famous Impulse! spine and the iconic shot of Chico on the front in impeccable condition!

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
