An original 1966 UK mono pressing of Chris Farlowe’s The Art Of Chris Farlowe, released on Andrew Loog Oldham’s Immediate label.

A strong example of mid-1960s British blue-eyed soul and R&B, the album includes Farlowe’s distinctive interpretations of several major songs from the period, including Paint It Black, Out Of Time, I’m Free, Reach Out I’ll Be There and Ride On Baby.

The album has strong Rolling Stones connections, with material written by Jagger/Richards and production associated with Mick Jagger and Andrew Loog Oldham.

This copy carries the desirable early 1L / 2L matrix configuration, making it an appealing original UK Immediate pressing.

Condition

Vinyl: VG(+)

The vinyl retains a good gloss but shows visible light surface marks and hairlines from previous handling and play.

It sits between VG and VG+, hence the VG(+) grade. A respectable original 1966 copy with signs of genuine use rather than a pristine collector example.

Sleeve: VG+

The original sleeve remains in very good condition with light general storage and handling wear appropriate for its age.

There is some minor edge and corner wear, but the understated sleeve artwork remains clean and attractive and the overall presentation is very good.
