Description
CHRIS HENNESSY - BALLAD OF A SAD CAFE. Released on the Boot Records label in 1978 with catalog number BOS 7188. The lp jacket and the vinyl record are in very good condition. Disregard the shipping calculator. Winner pays actual postage which varies according to location within Canada, $8.70 to the US, and $10 to anywhere outside of North America. I will combine the postage on multiple wins to reduce the shipping cost. With multiple wins I only charge the actual cost to ship. If you prefer I can further reduce the shipping cost on multiple wins by inserting the inserts and disc from one cd inside the jewel case of another, this way the discs won't get scratched or the inserts wrinkled.
Born and raised in the south of Ireland, Chris Hennessy worked for several years as an electrician to fund his musical ambitions. Eventually his talents were recognized and he became a member of the Sons Of Erin whose album of folk songs made them popular in both Ireland and Newfoundland. This gave Chris an opportunity to tour his native country as well as Canada which led him to produce his own album, Ballad Of A Sad Café. He then immigrated to Newfoundland where he established himself as a singer and songwriter, met his wife, and settled into his career of playing, singing, song writing and producing music. Chris can often be found at O'Reilly's Irish Pub in St. John's where he is a resident performer. He frequently appears as a guest artist with other bands and groups on their albums, as well as on Newfoundland compilation albums.
