Description
On this, Chris's fourteenth album, he branches out a bit to include songs that have been favorites of his "Desperado," "Busted," "Red Headed Stranger"... and he does a fine job with them. Songwriters Jake Brooks and Tony Glenn Bessire each provide a song then cowrote another, "Hobo Dreams." Jake is from New Mexico and Tony from Kansas.
One of "He's the fine western ballad, "Last Cowboy In Town." The title song on the album comes from two of the best of Nashville's songwriters. Chris's band members wrote. A Tryer" and Jimmy Helms gives
Chris, usually writing a third of the songs, gives us only one and it is a change of pace. The former 1976 world champ on the bareback broncs writes a love song with a twist.
Once again the Nashville studie musicians, under the direction of Harriss, do a superb job. Listen to the western flavor and enjoy the album again and again.
