I, James Maharaj, was born In Trinidad, of Hindu parents, and had worshipped idols and made sacrifice to the Hindu Gods^ most of my life. I was very active in the Hindu religion, where I had led many people into the Hindu religion. After my father’s death, I cremated his body. Not long after this, I was afflicted with tuberculosis, and spent three years in a sanitarium. While in the sanitarium, I heard the gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time and was converted fromHinduism. Since that time I have been very active in missionary work throughout the Caribbean Islands. In 1956 the Lord opened the way, through missionaries, for me to come to the United States and since then, I have been holding revivals both in the United Statesand the Islands. At the present time I and others are in the process of building a children’s home in Trinidad. This album was made as a means of raising funds toward this Children’s Home. All proceeds from it will go toward this work. I sincerely hope this record will be a blessing to all who hear it and may the Lord bless each of you, as you listen to these Gospel Songs.
