Apparently this particular album dates from about 1971 because the back sleeve was revised to mention the availability of the If Footmen Tire You What Will Horses Do? movie, a now cult classic directed for Rev. Pirkle by Ron Ormand, and to include new "action shot" illustrations of Communists violently taking over America.

This is a desirable variant of this rare album because it is more tied-in to the movie, virtually a promo for it. In addition, it is on Pirkle's own Pirkle Records label.

NONE of the copies of this LP listed on Popsike as having sold over the past few years at prices as high as $200 have either of these two characteristics.

"This message by Estus Pirkle is a plea for Christians in America to repent of their sins and return to God or else the Communists will be permitted to overrun America. Their plans call for taking over America in 15 minutes. This recording gives alarming facts about what Communists do to people whom they enslave, and startling statements from outstanding religious and national leaders who believe the Communists will be in power in America in the 70's unless God intervenes. It has now been made into a 55 minute color motion picture."

Condition: A rather choice copy. Sleeve front is super clean and all edges are flawless EXCEPT for a 3.5" split bottom right. Sleeve back is also very clean except for a light stain to the left of Rev. Pirkle's photo. Original inner sleeve is present. Record is in lightly played condition, vinyl look great overall but there are several scratches visible. Labels are bright and clean. All in all, a great copy of a rare album.

Reverend Estus W. Pirkle warns what will happen to America if the citizens do not give up their depraved ways and turn to God and Jesus for salvation: Communist infiltrators, the "footmen", will pave the way for an all out invasion by weakening our will through TV, dance, rock music and alcohol.

Once the invasion begins, the new Communist government will proceed to round up all Christians, and either execute them or force them to undergo re-education. Only by putting their faith in the Bible where it belongs, says Rev. Pirkle, can America resist the coming Red Menace.

The band Negativland sampled Rev. Pirkle's "Communism is good...Christianity is stupid...Christianity is stupid...Give up..." sermon for their song "Christianity Is Stupid" on their album Escape From Noise. It later led to a media prank which produced material for them to sample for their subsequent Helter Stupid album.
