One-sided Lp with embossed text on the opposite side. This is it: Marclay’s seminal avant garde turntable showpiece was designed with the thought that it ought to not be stored in a cover, such that the surface damage from handling would add its own layer of sound input—unique for every copy of the record—to the collage on the record. Contrary to the composer’s wishes, this copy has been stored in a cover for some years, but was exposed for at least some time prior to that and indeed looks VG- and plays in VG+ condition. Plain white jacket is likely the one in which it was purchased, with blurb explaining the concept.
