Captive Audience 1?! - Christopher Henson (1984 Time Travel) I've seen this privately pressed album described as psych in many listings but having been a heavy psych collector for over 50 years, i just don't hear it. Maybe I've gotten old and the definition has expanded a bit and I'm behind! I just want to make an honest description as I do hear it. What I hear covers an awful lot of ground and it's very well done. I describe it as 1980's avant garde prog, electronic dabbling with synths and theremin, hard rock and fusion jazz with a basement recording feel while retaining a very professional and technically well played and complex level of musicianship. It sounds more 70's-ish to my ears. I played the entire record through prior to writing this description and it sounds like it's never been played before. The version of Mission Impossible has to be heard to be believed! Very cool and from what I've heard this record was released in a micro-pressing of copies. The vinyl grades a very strong visual VG+ with mostly light blemishes and almost nothing I'd describe as a scratch. The luster and shine of the record is beautiful. The jacket is VG+ with only a minor dings on the side which are barely discernible and some very minor wear on the front and back. Only the most obsessed with perfection will ever have to upgrade it. I grade very conservatively and have been collecting and selling records for over 40 years so you can be assured your purchase will be accurately graded and packaged properly to ensure safe arrival of the item.
