Description
The vinyl has a few marks on it. It is certainly nowhere near mint condition. But it plays great and does not skip anywhere. There is the odd crackle at times but truthfully not many. The playback is very good and allows you to thoroughly enjoy a great album.
The cover is in good shape. Laminated on both sides, it has some light scuffing and one or two light creases. The spine is still intact with the writing complete - just slightly creased in places.
Along the bottom edge there are a couple of slight blemishes and a tiny seam split at the bottom right.

If you want a mint copy then this is not for you. But it is a thoroughly decent copy of an album that is impossibly rare. Only 500 were pressed back in 1969.
Please only bid if you don't mind this massively rare album having a few marks on it.

Paddy on the Road is the debut album by Irish folk musician Christy Moore, released in 1969. The album was produced and co-written by Dominic Behan.
Although issued on a major label, Mercury Records, only 500 copies were pressed of the original 1969 issue.
It's in a more dated Irish folk style than the approach for which he'd become more renowned, offering lilting and jaunty tunes about romance and courting, as well as more serious stuff about the IRA and Irish political and labour struggles, albeit delivered in a rousing vocal manner.
Noted songwriter Dominic Behan produced the LP and penned a number of the songs, including the most politically oriented ones, "The Belfast Brigade" and "The Strike Weapon."
