MGM SE-4547 1968

RARE folk-psych item, from the heights & depths of the hippie era. Obscure, disjointed and meandering melodies with enlightening and overpowering psychelyricism. Nice female leads and harmonies from Nancy Nairn. Over production & minimalism in a weird mix  devised by leader J. Spider Barbarows, who also contributes liner notes that rank in the top ten if acid laced weird and psycho disgusting naturism notes of all time(top this, Roky Erickson!). Former listener and owner notes on back in dayglo ballpoint pen: "Odd and FREAKY"(Aug 9, '68), why say more? Black and silverfoil psyche gatefold. Also features Paul Album, Dahaud Shaar, Joe Sabin, Ralph Kotkov. A super OBSCURO item!

Cover is VG(rubbing, small writing on back) and Disc is VG(well played, but well cared for, for this type of item. Light needlemarks overall, 3 moderate short scratches on side 2. Name in ink on label on both sides. GOOD PLAYING COPY).
