Description
Sadly this great record hasn't received the care which it deserves. As you can see the front has been repaired and has cellotape reinforcement. The rear of the sleeve isn't too bad except for the cellotape stains. It possibly doesn't have much effect on value but the sleeve is one of the very first made with the date 58.11 visible on the bottom right corner. If you look at other sleeves (not that you're likely to find many) you'll find that the vast majority are dated 8/59 - 9 months later than this one. The good side is that the record, although it has a few light scuffs and marks, plays remarkably well with no jumps or skips, just slight, barely noticeable, crackle on the quieter numbers, I would definitely rate it as VG. So, although it isn't perfect, this is a chance to own a very playable copy of a terrific record at a fraction of the £200 which a top copy could make.
