CILLA BLACK - 'LOVE OF THE LOVED'/'SHY OF LOVE'

This early Paul McCartney composition featured in The Beatles' live act in their early years but was never officially released by them. It was however gifted to fellow Brian Epstein managed artiste Cilla Black, whose debut release this was. However, some embarrassment was caused as labels of initial copies misspelt her name as 'CILIA Black'. It was not a big hit for her and reached only number 35 on the UK charts.

This MINT UK 1st pressing dates from release in September 1963 is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5065

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK.. text but have upper/lower case 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' rim texts.

A single letter 'K' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'Love of The Loved' label.

Cilla's name is misspelt on both labels as 'CILIA'.

Housed in its original, correct type green Parlophone company sleeve.

An immaculate pair with no spindle trails or wear to either centre hole.

Visual: MINT

Both playing surfaces are 'factory-fresh' and totally unmarked both in strong daylight AND directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. No need to upgrade this.

This archive copy is possibly unplayed. My single careful play-check confirmed the sound as flawless throughout.
