Tommy Trammel was born in Kentucky but moved to Ohio at an early age where he was raised on a 100 acre farm near Blue Ash. Tommy was saved at the age of 14 in the Lockland Baptist Church and at 17, under the ministry of Rev. John W. Rawlings, surrendered his life to enter Christian training and gradu- ated from the Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri in 1957. Mr. Trammel is now the Pastor of the Deer Park Baptist Church, 4220 E. Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45236. During his teen-age years Tommy had a great desire to sing. With the advice of friends and the gentle persuasion of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Trammel, Sr., he studied music under a well known Cincinnati musician. It was during this time that an offer was given Tommy to enter the entertainment field of radio and T. V. He declined the lucrative offer having a firm belief that God had given the talent to him and his voice should always be used in churches singing Gospel and Spiritual songs. His popularity and rich personality has spread continually along with the many requests of friends and loved ones to record an album of some of his most prom- inent songs. The Love of God album is given in commemoration of the first song Tommy ever used before a congregation. The warmth and inspiration of every song will help you relive the experiences you have had with your precious Saviour. The trio consisting of Imogene Gilbert, Tilford Meece, and Tommy, is uplifting as they present an atmosphere of smoothness as only a trio can. The accompanying of Ralph Kratzer on the Lowery organ, Jimmy Kilpatrick on the piano, Ronnie VonBargen on the bass, and Junior Burton on the steel guitar is the greatest sound you have ever heard for this type accompaniment. This recording was made at the Landmark Baptist Temple, Cincinnati, Ohio.
