Cover Condition: VG+

NM with the only “defect” being a wide shiny line under bright light that crosses Tracks 2–5 on Side 1. Really not visible without a bright light.
Cover:
VG++ with only a couple of minor flaws. Presents clean and shiny.
Top corners pushed in ever so slightly. Faint edge wrinkle from the opening, about 1" long and 1" from the top. 0.25" wrinkle from the lower 1/4 of the spine and a 0.5" wrinkle from the bottom. 0.5” wrinkle from spine on back. Faint ring depression along the opening and toward the bottom.
Cleaning & Packing
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned prior to listing. For shipping, the record is placed in a protective inner sleeve and shipped outside of the jacket to help prevent seam splits during transit. The jacket is placed in a clear outer sleeve and the complete package is shipped in a stiffened LP mailer.
Simplified Goldmine Grading Guide
NM (Near Mint): A record showing virtually no signs of wear and playing cleanly with little to no surface noise. The cover is similarly clean with no significant defects.
VG+ (Very Good Plus): A well-cared-for record with light signs of handling or use. Minor sleeve marks, light scuffs, or very light scratches may be present, but they should have little to no effect on playback. Covers may have light wear but remain attractive and well preserved.
VG (Very Good): A record showing more noticeable signs of use, including visible scuffs, scratches, or groove wear. Some surface noise may be audible, particularly during quiet passages, but the record should remain an enjoyable listening copy without major playback problems. Covers may show moderate wear, such as ring wear, edge wear, creases, or small seam issues.
G+ (Good Plus): A heavily used record with significant visible wear. Surface noise, scratches, and groove wear will be noticeable during playback, but the record should still play through without skipping under normal circumstances. Covers may have substantial wear, seam splits, writing, tape, or other significant defects.
My Grading Approach
I grade conservatively using the Goldmine grading standard as my foundation. Unless a record is particularly rare or desirable, I generally do not sell media below VG condition.
I occasionally use designations such as VG++ or VG+ (low) to provide additional clarity, as I believe the VG+ category covers a very broad range of condition.
Records are visually graded unless otherwise specifically noted in the listing. When a record has been play tested, that will be clearly stated.
Play-testing is performed on my system, and playback can vary somewhat between turntables, cartridges, stylus profiles, and system setups.
I spend considerable time inspecting and documenting each record so buyers know exactly what to expect. I am happy to play-test any record upon request prior to purchase.
If I have made a material grading error, I will gladly accept a return and make it right.
