Description
For sale is the classic Frost and Fire album by Cirith Ungol. This is the 1st vinyl pressing with the four skeletons on the label (please see photos). I think it might be an interesting variant between the 1981 first pressing (which the record is) and the 1982 pressing, as the cover has the record label and PO box named on the back (which was issued with the 1982 record pressings).
Record: Very Good Plus (VG+) to Excellent minus (EX -): For it's age, this record is beautiful. I looked very closely, and noticed some hairlines / marks on the outer intro deadwax, as well as evidence of it being stored in a paper sleeve for years (since purchasing it almost a decade ago second hand, I have put it in a plastic sleeve instead). Beyond this, the record has a nice glossy shine to it, and couldn't locate any other deficits. It also plays great, bit of moments of light crackle in some transitory parts, but predominantly plays closer to Excellent. Guaranteed to sound better than any repress purchased brand new.
Cover and inserts: Very Good (VG) to Very Good Plus (VG+): The cover has some minor cover bending, scuffs and marks of ageing, no major issues. The paper sleeve (as pictured) is showing signs of ageing (i.e. paper yellowing), but I am also including the plastic sleeve I have stored it in since, for free. The insert is also included and in great shape (only some minor signs of ageing).
Please see the photos for more condition info, overall one of the best copies I've ever seen, and like said appears to be an unique variant (I've seen one other person mention they have this one).
