A superb copy of the Clan of Xymox second album.

Their first album was one of my favourite albums of the time, and I still

go back and listen to it even now on my MP3 some 30+ years later.

Medusa just never made the same impact on me I'm sorry to say,

so I didn't played the album very much at all.

Because of this the album has very little wear to show for a 30+ year old piece of vinyl.

The playing surfaces of both sides are beautifully glossy, dust and fingerprint free.

A Side just the usual very fine scuffs and hairlines associated with getting the disc in and out of it's sleeve.

There is one slightly more noticeable, yet still superficial, scratch running through 'Theme II' and the start

of 'Louise'. I have play tested the tracks and there are no pops, clicks or clicks or clicks or clicks.

The sound quality is not affected in the slightest.

B Side Nothing to report other than the usual very fine scuffs and hairlines associated with getting the disc

in and out of it's sleeve.

I am being very picky here and have mentioned everything I can see in hard critical daylight.

Because the album has had so little time spent on the turntable there are no spindle marks at all on either label.

Outer sleeve is in very good condition. The corners show a little wear as does the top and bottom of the spine. 

There is some wear on the bottom seam that you can see in the listing image of the front cover.

The inner sleeve is in excellent condition,

The flat mat gold print does mean that a few fingerprints are almost unavoidable.

Unless otherwise stated every record was purchased by myself from new and only ever played

by myself on my own deck and with as expensive a cartridge as I could afford at the time.

When it comes to attributing a grading to each of my records I will confess I am not an expert.

And while both the Goldmine standard and The Record Collectors systems give us a number of agreed fundamentals

to help determine a grading for vinyl and its associated media, attributing a true and accurate grading to something as

individual as a pre-owned piece of Vinyl is unavoidably subjective.

One person's 'slight scuff' may be another's deal breaker.

With this in mind I will endeavour to describe as accurately as possible, in the descriptions of each listing,

not only what I feel to be a fair grading, but also an overall description of the record in question, along with details

of any and all marks, defects and anomalies I can see.

I am a firm believer in the maxim of - if you can feel it you can hear it.

So if there is anything that looks or feels like it may possibly affect a record's playing quality or sound clarity,

and therefore the pleasure derived from listening to it or its true value to an collector, I will give it one final spin

and make my findings known in the product description.

Over and above this I am happy to take returns.

I personally wouldn't bid on a pre-owned record without the option to return it if I felt that the seller hadn't been

totally truthful and transparent in their description of it, or that on receipt it didn't live up to my expectations. 

And I do not expect you to do so either. 

So please, feel free to bid with confidence.

I am a professional photographer by trade, and have gone to great lengths to light and photograph covers, inner sleeves

and the vinyl's themselves in such a way as to show, as accurately as possible, the actual condition of all.

Rest assured that what you see is exactly what will be despatched to you if you are the successful winner of each listing.

Before photographing each record went through a three stage cleaning process:

1 - Removal of any surface dust with a light brushing over with a carbon fibre and velvet disc cleaning pad

2 - Deep cleaning with large (Big Fudge) velvet pad and cleaning solution

3 - A final brushing with a Pro-Ject carbon fibre record brush.

And finally, because Mr or Mrs  Poasty may not handle your record with the same care and reverence that you or I would,

I will dispatch in a specialised corrugated cardboard record mailing outer, and if I feel even more protection is required

I will also include two extra sheets of 3mm corrugated cardboard for added safety and protection.
