Description

 

Louis Armstrong is hot and prominent on cornet

throughout both sides as Clarence Williams' Blue Five

plays "I'm A Little Blackbird Looking For A Bluebird"

and "Mandy Make Up Your Mind" on OKeh 40260.


Both sides were recorded in New York City on December

17, 1924.

 

Clarence is on piano, with his wife Eva Taylor doing

the vocal refrain on both sides. Sitting in along with

Louis is Charlie Irvis on trombone, Sidney Bechet on

reeds, with Buddy Christian on banjo.


The record is in E- to V+ condition, however there are

a good number of small surface scratches that cause

pops and ticks.


It is in the original OKeh sleeve.
