Back to the slow sell-off of my own Jazz collection, 2000 LPs accumulated over 50 years of buying and listening, culling and selling--those for sale now my own saved favorites, in other words. All those i bought new are at least Mint- and usually Mint, really. Any used ones in lesser condition, i'll describe. More Miles Davis today...
Last of the Miles Prestige albums:
Solid copy, good VG+ or maybe a bit better, of deep-groove, rigid-vinyl, yellow 203 So.Washington label Prestige PRLP 7076 (with RVG initials in runoff), titled Walkin', as by Miles Davis All Stars, meaning Side 1's long versions of Walkin' and Blue 'n Boogie played by Miles plus Lucky Thompson, J.J. Johnson, Horace Silver, Percy Heath, and Kenny Clarke; and Side 2's performances of Solar, You Don't Know What Love Is, and Love Me or Leave Me by Miles plus Davey Schildkraut, Silver, Heath, and Clarke. These are all classic performances from 1954 (like previous auction's Davis LP).
Light general wear, really--a few non-threatening marks, previous owner's name stamped on labels and jacket back, light scrape-wear on jacket spine. Notes by Ira Gitler once again.
