Description
This is a very nice stereo 180g pressing of Jean Martinon and the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra performing Prokofieff’s Symphony No. 7 as issued by Classic Records (catalog number LSC-2288). The record is from my personal collection, was purchased new, and initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was recently re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner.
The record was recently play-graded using a Lyra Parnassus cartridge on a VPI Classic IV turntable with 3D tonearm.
The record is in excellent condition with no scuffs or scratches but does have some streaks in the vinyl. It plays quietly with only a few light ticks over both sides: I noted 9 light ticks on side 1 and 14 on side 2 most of which occur at the end of movement 4.
The jacket is in mint- condition with no seam splits or bends and is the glossy cover type used by Classic Records for most of their 180g classical releases.
