Classic Records RCA Test Pressings Box 4 – 10 180g LPs

In March 2001, Classic Records opened its vaults and sold off some of their 180g test pressings for the RCA Classical Series.  There were only 10 units available of each set and there were four volumes available.  Each set contains 10 double sided 33.3 RPM test pressing.  Each record is packaged in a plain white sleeve with the date and matrix number stamped on the upper right corner of the jacket.  The records have a label on each side but side A contains the catalouge number and matrix number while side B is blank. Classic Records also included a sheet in the box with the 10 records.  I purchased these directly from Classic Records and the 10 sets immediately sold out.  All records were sealed in the boxes when I received them but have been cleaned with a VPI record cleaner, treated with LAST record preservative, and properly stored.  They were played twice at most and are generally very quiet and sound quite wonderful.  The records are packaged in a large white box with “Classic Records RCA Living Stereo Box Volume 4” stamped along the spine and on an RTI label on the front cover. The records only have the catalogue number, pressing date, and the matrix number on the side A label.  For my own use, I typed up a sheet listing the contents of each record and included it in the plastic sleeve with each record.  All records have the same content as the original RCA and the final Classic Records release.
