Chester Arthur Burnett (June 10, 1910 – January 10, 1976), known as Howlin' Wolf, was an American blues singer, guitarist and harmonica player. With a booming voice and looming physical presence, he is one of the best-known Chicago blues artists. Musician and critic Cub Koda noted, "no one could match Howlin' Wolf for the singular ability to rock the house down to the foundation while simultaneously scaring its patrons out of its wits"; producer Sam Phillips added "When I heard Howlin' Wolf, I said, 'This is for me. This is where the soul of man never dies'". Several of his songs, such as "Smokestack Lightnin'", "Back Door Man", "Killing Floor" and "Spoonful" have become blues and blues rock standards. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 51 on its list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time".

I now I am slightly biased but this record is one for the dedicated, knowledgeable electric blues collectors, who know a classic record when they see it. This is a classic original LP and should be in any dedicated collection.
This is one of many vinyl LPs that I am slowly starting to sell on eBay - Please view my other listings.
The record has been owned by me since new and has been fully played less than 10 times and the vinyl is in mint condition. The outer gate-fold sleeve shows light/normal wear, while the inner sleeve shows some slight signs of aging. Both record sides have "ROLLING STONES RECORDS" etched on the lead-out tracks.
The record was originally played on a Garrard 401 turntable with SME 3009 arm fitted with a Shure cartridge, and has not been played since.
If you are wondering why the record was played less than 10 times, it was because I was buying 1 or 2 LPs a week at the time !!
The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions Original 1971 Issue is being sold as-seen.
