Description
The sleeve looks good on the front and back (aside from some mostly transparent oily looking marks that change the shade of black), and left edge. The bottom and top edge have a split about two inches from the opening.
The record is in fantastic condition. Only barely noticeable blemishes, no scratches
The inner sleeve is generic blank white paper
Cleve Pozar Born Robert F. Pozar in 1941, he was schooled in a wide breadth of musical styles, including Afro-Cuban, Latin, jazz, free improvisation, classical, avant-garde, funk, country, polka, and more. In the early 60s, Pozar participated in some of the pivotal events in free jazz and avant-garde classical music. Throughout the 60s he'd continue to study, perform, and appeared on some records. A couple with Bob James, one with Bill Dixon, who'd later produce another album Pozar would appear on.
Then, in 1974, Cleve Pozar would create, with engineer and producer Zed McLarnon at the studio Intermedia Sound in Boston, Solo Percussion. A private-press record which Cleve can be attributed to playing 20 instruments on, which include; Bass Drum [Double Bass Drum], Wood Block, Tom Tom, Twelve-String Guitar, Pedalboard [Echoplex], Carillon, Tabla, Guitar, Percussion [Live Bicycle Wheel, Tuned Glasses], Marimba [Double Marimba], Vibraphone, Organ [Farfeeza], Recorder [Tape Recorder], Bass, Drums, Cymbal, Ratchet, Bells [Indian Bells], Gong.
This album is incredibly rare, and with Pozar's death in 2019, it's highly unlikely there'll ever be a reissue of this incredible piece of work
