CLIFF RICHARD AND THE DRIFTERS - 'CLIFF'
This album, Cliff's debut, was recorded live in front of an invited audience of 200-300 of fans at Abbey Road studios in February 1959.
He was accompanied by the The Shadows who were then known as The Drifters.
This incredible time-capsule example dates from initial April 1959 release on the green & gold Columbia label: 33SX 1147

Housed in a heavy card stock, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex..' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A sparkling set with not a trace of spindle marking or wear around either centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine factory-fresh, deep-gloss playing surfaces which in strong daylight appear 'as new' and in the same condition as they left the press in 1959.
Detailed inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals just a couple of faint wispy lines from the one or twice this disc was removed from its inner-sleeve.
Audio: MINT
This barely, if ever played disc sounds as clean & clear as the day it was recorded and is free from any trace of groove/playwear throughout.
You will not find a better sounding example of this historic British Rock & Roll album.

An incredible example of this wonderful cover which really does looks like it left the shops last week, let alone almost SIXTY years ago!
The beautifully clean & unworn front panel retains an impressive finish free from any scratches or indentations. The only factor keeping it from 'MINT' is a single very faint 'thumbnail' which is only visible at a certain angle. There are no spine or edge bends whatsoever.
All corners are in perfect shape with no bumps or bruises to any tip. Both opening edges appear untouched.
The rear panel's is clean & unblemished. Its yellow colour is not caused by age but is due to the natural 'waxy' finish to the card stock used.
All flipbacks, seams and the spine are all in perfect condition.

This example really does belong in a museum....or on your shelf!
