Cifford Brown Sextet New Star on the Horizon Blue Note BLP 5032 10” LP. I don't know if this is a first issue or not. It says Blue Note 5032, 33 1/3 Microgroove, Modern Jazz Series in the top right corner. On the back cover the album is critiqued by Leonard Feather. Photo by Francis Wolff, cover design by John Hermansader. The vinyl is very thick/heavy. The LP features Cifford Brown, Art Blakey, Gigi Gryce, Percy Heath, Charlie Rouse, & John Lewis. The song list is as follows:

I am not very familiar with LP grading, but I will attempt to describe the condition as best I can. I believe the vinyl is a strong VG. The fidelity is very good for this LP's age. There is some surface noise, mostly on the opening of the first track of both sides. But to me, this did not detract from the sound of this early LP. I am a musician who is sensitive to LP surface noise and I thought the fidelity was quite good. Also, I recognise that LP's of this age, and even many newer LP's, are hard to find without some surface noise. When I played the LP on my turntable, there were no skips.

I believe the cover is in overall VG condition. The front and back cover have aged well. There is a little bit of writing in light pencil on the back cover, top left corner ("3.85", so looks like someone just wrote the price of the LP back then). The cover itself is very thick and strong and is beginning to seperate at the bottom, but not at the top. The back cover is a little dirty, but still looks very nice, I think. All the text on the back cover is very readable. Please see my pictures for details of cover condition. I've tried to describe this LP as accurately as possible.
