Description
Clifford Jordan mono Blue Note 1565 47W63 label, deep groove, RVG and P in runouts, beaded rim, 47W63 on back of laminated cover, blank spine
Clifford Jordan (ts), John Jenkins (as), Lee Morgan (t), Curtis Fuller (tb) Ray Bryant (p), Paul Chambers (b), Art Taylor (d) Recorded 1957
The record looks and plays VG. There's a moderate amount of light scuffing and hairline marks on both sides. No deep scratches. Grooves do not show damage or a lot of play. A few spindled marks on both labels. Record plays enjoyably with occasional ticking, not constant, some moderate surface noise during quiet passages and no distortion.
LISTEN TO THE SOUND CLIPS BELOW from beginning, middle and end of each side of the actual record. No sound fix up. Recorded using a stereo cartridge. Will sound better using a mono cartridge or switch.
The cover is VG to VG+.
The front cover has moderate wear and hint of ring wear. There's two small areas of discoloration, maybe mold or maybe scuffs in the middle top and bottom. There's a piece of clear tape app 5 inches long visible along bottom. The back cover has "Demonstration" stamp, moderate wear, fading, some staining along the spine and a large red "X". Corners are dented with heavy wear spots and missing slick. Top seam is split app. 2 inches at the pocket. Spine has heavy wear at top and bottom and is intact and a spot in the middle app. 1/2 inch where the slick is missing.
Black lines that might be visible at bottom left and top right in pictures are due to photo cropping and not on cover.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
