Notable Work and Impact Cloven Hoof released their self-titled debut album, "Cloven Hoof," in 1984, which quickly became a classic in the NWOBHM genre. The album features a combination of fast-paced metal anthems and slower, more epic tracks. Key songs from the album include:
"Cloven Hoof" - The title track, known for its catchy riffs and memorable chorus. "Nightstalker" - A powerful and atmospheric track with dark, brooding lyrics. "Return of the Passover" - An epic song that showcases the band's ability to blend storytelling with intricate musical compositions. "The Gates of Gehenna" - A fan favorite, known for its dramatic and powerful arrangement. In 1988, the band released "Dominator," followed by "A Sultan's Ransom" in 1989, both of which helped solidify their status in the metal community. Despite various lineup changes and periods of inactivity, Cloven Hoof has continued to release music and perform live, maintaining a dedicated following among metal enthusiasts.
