RARE Atlantic Records, 8003, Mono, "Rock & Roll"
First, be on the lookout this week for Sweet Melissa Records' stunning collection of classic blues and jazz on 10" 78 rpm vinyl, as well as our new listings of 33 1/3's! The major pre-1965 (see the address code on back cover) full-length retrospective of McPhatter's run with the Drifters, this album showcases, in Guy Remark's words on the cover notes, the singer's "increasing song savvy and an ever more commanding style."Dead wax: matrix numbers, "AT" for Atlantic, and a small inscribed "D" and "H", one on each side. Black label. Vinyl is in VG+ condition; there are very few surface markings or scratches on the vinyl. Expect to hear a little bit of surface noise on playback. The cover is in spectacular near mint condition, with almost no wear along the edges. All cover graphics appear in great condition. A fun (and very rare) full-length of Drifters classics!
