Labels: Honky Tonk side is very nice w/ just a little light wear, a tiny tear and a sticker. The flip side label is completely gone. I've seen other copies of this 45 w/ similar problems
Record: This record has been played a lot as evidenced by lots of light surface scuffs but no real scratches. Side A plays a strong VG++ w/ a little light random background surface noise. The B Side plays VG+ w/ just a bit more surface noise. Both sides still have fantastic sound presence and the guitar sounds amazing! / VPI cleaned
COMMENTS: Original copy of this rare & great Rockabilly 2-Sider. The A Side, written bt Johnny Horton, is a killer uptempo track w/ a blazing guitar break and a wicked poundin' piano break. The B Side, written by Bobby Lee Trammell, is a super cool moody midtempo track with hiccup vocal, great piano & wild heavily tremeloed guitar throughout.
I just acquired a nice batch of 45’s that belonged to radio station DJ Randy Hall who was the all night jock for KDKA radio in Pittsburgh, Pa. in the early 60’s. The collection included lots of original 50’s & 60’s titles including some nice promos. I will be listing them in the next weeks and months.
NOTE: VPI cleaned means that this record was cleaned on a professional $500 cleaning machine, which does wonders for the playback of all vinyl records!
