Description

An original 1974 1st press on UK EMI. Matrix 1/1 - 1st cut. Stampers 1-HA/1-HO [audio from the 1st mother]. Worth mentioning the vinyl weight here - very nice and solid. Not at all like the flimsy crap EMI put out from the mid-seventies.. The vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod cover with double spine and Hype sticker. We also have the original generic white inner sleeve with the lyric sheet too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) An absolute corker of a copy - it really has the feeling of a quality pressing. Lovely shiny surfaces with just a coupe of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. No kidding - it really is a flat out perfect copy. The audio quality is just superb - a beautiful presentation. Warmth and lots of detail. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across perfect clarity. I'm really struggling to find fault at all. Even to the super low-key moments - it plays clean as a whistle. Maybe you'll detect a couple of crackles during 'Tumbling Down'. But this track plays close on perfect - and is clearly the very fussiest on the entire LP. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) I'd imagine this cover is pretty tricky to find in top condition. But this particular example is pretty rude heath. Lovely deep blacks - the imagery is clear and well defined [they didn't skimp on the print quality]. Only super light handling rear and front - it really is a thing of beauty. Very little edge wear and the spine is 100% intact. Truly a superb looking specimen.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing no splits.
Insert (Ex-) Light ageing at extremities.
